The media office of the Minister of Education, Rima Karami, denied reports about the minister’s detention in the case of professors’ vacancies. He explained that the issue of professor vacancies was and remains one of her priorities, noting that since assuming her duties, she and her work team have worked very seriously to complete the file and address all necessary legal, administrative and financial aspects. He confirmed that the file is no longer in the custody of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, but rather was deposited with the Prime Minister, to whom it belongs. The Ministry renewed its call to be accurate and obtain information from its official sources, to avoid circulating incorrect news that would cause confusion among professors and public opinion.
